Hello everyone! It was a brisk
sunny Fall October morning at the Beechland Fox Pen with temperatures in the 50's
for the Quad County Houndsman Assoc. 2nd Christmas Fund Benefit Puppy Hunt. Hunters
started rolling in about 4am. Coffee was brewing, homade country sausage was sizzling,
bisquits were in the oven, and fried potatoes were almost ready.
We
had a total of 58 dogs and cast time was at 6am. The running was excellent, lots
of game everywhere and it took 120 points to get in and 380 points to win. The
hunt was a great success and the accociation was very pleased with the number
of raffle tickets sold. We want to THANK ALL FOR ATTENDING AND SUPPORTING THIS
VERY WORTHWHILE CAUSE. ALL MONEY WILL BE USED FOR CHILDREN AT CHRISTMAS TIMEM
IN SUSSEX, SURRY, ISLIE OF WIGHT, AND SUFFOLK COUNTIES. WE DO PLAN ON MAKING THIS
AN ANNUAL EVENT. (See Events page for 2006 competion results). Next hunting
events will be in 2007. Check back to the webiste soon for details.
